HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY – Favorite Family Movies!

Affiliate Disclosure

At the beginning of the holiday season, which for our family is generally around Thanksgiving, we start gathering together all the Christmas CDs, Audio books, movies, and books, and usher in the lovely time of year we call the Christmas season.

Some of our favorites movies include funny ones, like Elf or The Star of Christmas. We also like some serious ones like Nativity story.

This year we are eagerly anticipating a new movie we are sure will become a holiday classic, The Man Who Invented Christmas. This new movie staring Christopher Plummer from The Sound of Music, alongside Dan Stevens from Beauty and the Beast and Downton Abbey releases in theaters just in time for Thanksgiving weekend! This movie tells the story of the man who popularized the phrase “bah humbug”‘ and brought us iconic characters like Ebeneezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim.  This film will be released November 22, 2017.

Film Synopsis:

The Man Who Invented Christmas tells the magical journey that led to the creation of Ebenezer Scrooge (Christopher Plummer), Tiny Tim and other classic characters from A Christmas Carol. Directed by Bharat Nalluri (Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day), the film shows how Charles Dickens (Dan Stevens) mixed real life inspirations with his vivid imagination to conjure up unforgettable characters and a timeless tale, forever changing the holiday season into the celebration we know today.
