$1.50 Cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory

Ok, we heard the rumor and confirmed it. The Cheesecake Factory was selling cheesecake this week for $1.50 a slice. So, we decided it was time for a field trip over there and score some yummy cheesecake. They have this terrific little take-out counter near the door, so we thought we would pop in, buy some cheesecake and go find a quiet place to eat it.

Well, that did not exactly work. This was for dine-in guests only. So, I went to the hostess and asked how long the wait was going to be. One hour and 20 minutes. I told her we JUST wanted cheesecaks, so we got put on a different list, 35 minutes. Not too bad, I figured.

My daughter, Christina was also meeting some friends for lunch and they decided to venture over for cheesecake too.

Oh, did I mention that everyone in Louisville was at The Cheesecake Factory that day?

Here are our pictures:

Ok, at first everyone is excited waiting…. Then, boredom and exhaustion set in: Finally our buzzer beeps! Christina and her friend’s timer beeps a few minutes after ours. I took their picture as well: Ok, now for the cheesecake: Was it worth the wait? Well, of course. It was fun for the kids to be a part of a big celebration special. They got a little tired and bored after waiting, but they enjoyed the time over all. We do not usually let them get HUGE desserts like that anywhere, much less at a restaurant, so it was a real treat for them. In case you are wondering, no one finished their cheesecake. Except David, but he did not have his own slice. We all gave him a bit off of ours, so he had a rational portion. Does this make you want cheesecake?
