Values Driven Family
As you know, I promised in your newsletter sign ups that occasionally I would share reviews and special promotions from other Christian Publishers. I just finished reading a terrific book by Cynthia Carrier of www.valuesdrivenfamily.com. With the release of her new book, I thought it would be a perfect time to invite you to see their neat site. They have a ton of free great resources for people with children of all ages. The one I just finished reading was entitled: The Growing Homeschool Integrating Babies and Toddlers into Your Already Busy Schedule. I cannot wait to tell you about it. See my review of it below. Just in case you do not have babies or toddlers you are integrating right now, check out their other resources and website to see what else they offer. They have NUMEROUS free resources and several partner FREEBIES on their sites from other Christian publishers. They are also offering a special coupon to all my subscribers, but hurry! Their offer expires on March 7. See the details at the bottom.
Stewards-that’s what we are: entrusted by God
with one of the greatest responsibilities known to humanity. God, in His wisdom, has given us mere mortals the awesome responsibility of preparing little humans (that is, our children) for eternity. Review the Values-Driven Discipleship table of contents to see the wealth of material that you’d have readily available to impress upon your children’s hearts. It has a handy index of behaviors and character traits so you can find what you need in seconds–and all the verses are completely written out, so you don’t need to dig through multiple volumes or cross reference with your own Bible to find what you’re looking for. It doesn’t get much easier than this!
| Book Review by Malia Russell The Growing Homeschool Integrating Babies and Toddlers into Your Already Busy Schedule |
Available in Print or E-Book Format
This book covers so many aspects of Godly parenting, but is not overwhelming. In fact, if I were to write a parenting book, much of what she said I would include in a book of my own. Here are the chapters she covers in the book:
One of the things I really love about her book is that she shares what she has done, how she has modified it for different children, and how you can use or modify what she suggests. We mothers know that one size does not fit all when it comes to parenting. She is very clear when she is quoting scripture and applying it, and where there is room for our own interpretation. I highly encourage you to check out her book if you are trying to find the balance with several children in your home. The Growing Homeschool: Integrating Babies and Toddlers into Your Already Busy Schedule is a must-have for any homeschooling mom who is trying to successfully promote academic learning for older children and manage the hustle-and-bustle associated with younger children. Buy it for yourself, or give it as a welcome gift for a homeschool mom of little ones. Paperback retail for The Growing Homeschool is only $10.95. That’s a small price to pay for a comprehensive and practical resource. Your return-on-investment? An atmosphere of greater peace, joy, and productivity in your homeschool and family. Still don’t think it’s worth the price? Avoid shipping costs and pay only $8.95 for the ebook! |
Just for Homemaking 911 readers, The Carriers are offering 15% off the paperback and 10% off of the ebook. They are also giving away a packet of “Homeschool Helpers” with purchase-17 pages of fun things for homeschool moms like Unit Study resources for Food Groups/Nutrition, Language arts printables, and templates/worksheets of different kinds.
Be sure to tell them I sent you!
