I try to get the kids to do their "to do" lists and daily chores then school. They are pretty swift with school since we changed over last year to A.C.E. and their PACEs. I have four children ages 7-12. so i have 2nd, 4th, 6th and 7th graders. I try to get them self-motivated. Which is difficult. My days really get crazy when I need to shop or go to the doctor or piano lessons. HOw do you do that? I really need to get control of my house. I need help. My sweet husband is so long suffering but my biggest worry is that i'm not teaching my 2 girls to be Keeper at Home. My 12 1/2 year old does a ton, but the 2 "babies" the 7 and 9 year old are definitely lacking in responsibility. Also, I am balancing having a Historical Christian fiction novel published. I have been going through production with my publisher since September and that takes time with edits etc. I'm also trying to work on book #2. It is my only aspiration besides being a wife and Mom. it's a dream come true, but where is the balance. On top of all that, my husband is self-employed and we are on a very tight budget. How do you make it all work. I LOVE the house to look good and everything feels so great when it's in order but boy where do you find the time to do it all. What does it look like? Thank you for your time. God bless you for your ministry to His children :-) Isaiah 40:11 it is one of my favorite "motherhood"verses... "He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry [them] in his bosom, [and] shall gently lead those that are with young. "

How do you keep yourself motivated Malia? I find myself in a rut where I have many things to do and no desire/energy to do it. I am having trouble finding the energy to keep up with maintenance. Any advice?
