God’s Country Botanicals

When we started researching making out own laundry soap, I was doing an online search for essential oils. The tiny bottles from the craft store were outrageously expensive, so I was searching around for other sources. I came across a website: www.GodsCountryBotanicals.com. The site was very beautifully done and had a ton of information for anyone new to using essential oils. It had articles about the properties of different essential oils, and many products using them. The prices looked reasonable compared to what I had found here locally.

Well, my package from the store arrived this week! It felt like Christmas again. The products were beautifully packaged in sturdy but pretty colored plastic bottles and professionally labeled. The scents were well chosen based on the advice of the store owner after telling her what I was seeking.

Here are the products I tried:

Captivating: Silky Moisturizing Lotion (this has an earthy, warm scent). My husband told me to wear this lotion all the time (yikes!).

Renew Essential Oil Spray (This has the scents of Chamomile and Lavender) - Nice to spray lightly on sheets or a pillowcase.

Clean and Fresh Essential Oil Spray (Lemon and Eucalyptus)- I am keeping this bottle in the bathroom where my two year old is potty training, to wipe the seat and any little accidents that occur. The owner contacted me and advised that I spray the scent into the air, then walk through it for an antibacterial effect.

God’s Country Botanicals Soy Candle (Wassail scent). This candle had a clean burn (no black smoke) and has lasted a long time, even though it was a tiny votive style candle.

I was very impressed with the products. Even if you are not looking to purchase any essential oil products right now, I still thought her site held a wealth of information. I hope you will agree. Check it out and let me know what you think!
